What do you like about this subject? One thing that I have learned in this business is that I believe that all people are essentially good and that EVERYONE has or has had difficult times in their lives. My experience as a portfolio manager and call center manager to being a CEO has taught me that 99% of consumers do not realize their rights when dealing with collection agencies.
What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field? I am always being asked by members of the media to comment on cases relating to debtor/creditor issues. I welcome these questions and am available for members of the media. I am able to see both sides and am always looking for the "middle ground" so that everybody wins. I train debt collectors around the world on how to collect, enough said!
Something interesting about this subject that others may not know: Did you know that if you send a creditor a letter asking them to stop contacting you that they are required by law to stop? The law is called The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and It is the law that ALL 3rd party collectors are governed by! I always receive e-mails that ask "WHY ARE YOU HELPING US?" That is a very simple answer, ..because I care! and I KNOW this game inside out!
Something controversial or provocative about this subject The days of the BIG BAD BILL COLLECTOR are over! The companies who operate like this are at serious risk.
